Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is derived from the patient's own blood. It involves drawing a small amount of blood, similar to what is done for a routine blood test. The blood is then processed to concentrate the platelets, growth factors, and other regenerative components. The result is a gel-like substance rich in platelets and fibrin that can be used for various regenerative purposes.
For the eyes: PRF undereye treatment involves injecting the concentrated PRF into the skin around the eyes, particularly the delicate undereye area. The growth factors present in PRF stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining skin elasticity and volume. As a result, the undereye skin becomes plumper, firmer, and smoother, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles.
